According to Formulate Health (2021), insomnia plagues nearly 36% of British adults, and improving sleep has become the biggest health goal of nearly 1/4 of British adults. This project aims to help young people aged 18-34 who have poor sleep due to anxiety and stress.

A wearable device situated on the neck is suitable to combine cold therapy and aromatherapy to increase the activation of the cardiac vagus nerve by providing cold stimulation in the right lateral neck region to reduce the users' physiological symptoms associated with stress. Concurrently, whilst the device provides a cooling sensation, the addition of aromatherapy (specifically the scents of lavender and chamomile) and the way in which this is linked to sleep and wakefulness (Nast, 2017) act to soothe people's mood and improve sleep at night. Furthermore, in the early morning or during working hours, the device will emit rosemary as a means for users to refresh their minds.
The product is divided into two parts: cooling device and portable charger. The charger is combined with aromatherapy essential oils. There are two different scented essential oils at both ends of the charger, which can be applied to suit the needs of users in different scenarios. Before use, you need to drop the essential oil into the cotton piece in the cooling device, and it will automatically diffuse the fragrance after it is turned on. The cooling device has two modes: sleep aid mode and cool mode. After you click to turn it on, it will automatically jump to 19-22 degrees Celsius, and after you click it again, it will drop to 16-17 degrees Celsius, and it will automatically shut down after 15 minutes . It is recommended that users wear it 30 minutes before bedtime every day. Because, according to research, diffusing the same scent day after day, means the body will associate that aroma with going to sleep. This will help users develop a good sleep routine. This product is easy to carry and can be applied to different needs in multiple scenarios, such as nap, daily decompression etc.

11/2019 Yinuo Design (Industrial Designer)
● Conducted research on similar products in the market, and presented design plan based on customers’ needs.
● Draw a lot of sketches for concept deduction and screening evaluation, and finally get an optimized solution.
● Appearance modelling with Rhino, Solidworks to build the assembly model.
● Discussed structure design for modelling and searched for manufacturers to produce
the instrument.
● Performed CMF analysis according to product characteristics and made 3D printing.
2018-2021 IEC ID Studio (Student Leader)
ID Studio was established by the Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, and its design direction is product design, product system design, and sustainable design based on the age of intelligence.

● Improved the appearance of existing smart trash cans based on functional prototypes.
● Used the digital board to draw a 2D hand drawing scheme on photoshop and started modelling with Rhino and SolidWorks, and then rendering with keyshot.
● Drew structural diagram according to the physical model structure principle in order to apply for a patent.
● The product sample would be shown in Hong Kong Fair and sold in 2020.
