There are three images here. Firstly, there is a map of the UK showing the hotspots of recreational boating activity; secondly an overlay image of a typical public slipway; and thirdly, an image showing where I collected my data.

Results and Conclusions of project

This image describes and illustrates the main results and conclusions. There is a thematic map of what boat users found were the most important factors to focus on to improve safety whilst boating and some figures illustrating general opinions on safety culture and the current legislation surrounding recreational boating.

Work Experience

I am currently working for an engineering company, in a design-based role. This is very different to what I am used to and it has been a challenge to quickly learn what the company requires and how to adapt my skills to fit the role. I have so far been able to apply cognitive ergonomics and user design elements of the Master's whilst working on the project I have been given.
