Talented and energetic UX designer skilled in user research methods, experience design, interface design and related tools and models, including usability testing methods, seeking to enhance the user experience in user-centred projects.

Research stage

From secondary research, I recognised the accessible research methods, types of data to collect, and previous research outcomes (such as student attitudes, group work challenges, and tools used). Few studies discuss design students' views on group work and the issues they face, even though they often work in groups.

I invited UK design students over 18 with collaborative experience using convenience sampling.
During the primary research, I used interviews with storytelling and observations to investigate collaboration, challenges, solutions, and implications. In the second part of user research, I planned to use an online world cafe to let people discuss reasons for difficulties anonymously. It allows participants to open up without being afraid of knowing each other.

Opportunities generation

This image shows how insights develop into ideas, during which I invited users to participate in focus groups several times, resulting in a wealth of opportunities.

Solution generation and development

In the solution development and test stage, we applied participatory approaches to design the final concept and resulting prototype. These included two focus groups and one workshop.

Prototype and test

There are three kinds of prototypes, such as experience, lo-fi and hi-fi prototypes. Users simulated real meeting scenarios using low-fidelity screens to complete five tasks, including creating a monster appearance, editing team calendars, adding tasks and uploading records, checking group ranking, and ordering the monster model.
